Commercial Developments

 

In order to accommodate our Chongqingfactory complex we will be constructing shops to supply people with their daily needs, as well as restaurants and entertainment venues. We intend for our factory to function as a self sustaining satellite city.

 

In addition to this we will be developing a waterfront area within Chongqing to provide a 'high quality' entertainment, restaurant and bar area for the citizens of Chongqing. This will be modeled on waterfront areas throughout the globe and will be a centre of culture and convergence within the city.

 

The Nan'an Government also agreed to provide an additional 200 mu (approximately 132,000m²) for the construction of supporting amenities for the residents of DIT. Further allocation of land along the Kuxi River, which is in close proximity to DIT, for commercial facilities to be constructed by MET has also been agreed

 

We also have the licencing rights to develop other areas within Chongqing and are surveying the opportunities to build further commercial sites for both the people of Chongqing and the tourist trade. With 31 million people living in Chongqing there is much opportunity to supply to them centres of both commerce and culture. The Go-West Strategy initiated in 2000 has spread as far as Chongqing and we are ready to aid in that strategy and develop this emerging industrial center.

As the population becomes more affluent due to foreign investment in the area and an increasing wage packet, their spending power will also increase. A rise in demand for consumer goods is to be expected and we intend to supply for that demand.
