stands for Internet Protocol Television. This roughly translates to television delivered through your broadband connection at a faster rate and higher quality than currently available. Our own IPTV solution, called Digital Interactive Television (DiTV), is unique as it integrates on-demand video and radio with a number of other interactive features such as the internet, VoIP, and Videoconferencing.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Our Set Top Box (STB) is built on the integration of advanced hardware and systems architecture to provide faster information processing. Our hardware can operate on both Microsoft CE and Linux and we have developed our proprietary operating system (OS) for both. Our system also integrates the concept of 'system on a chip' or (SoC), which is the compression of all the systems in a computer down to one chip; meaning our STB works as a fully-functioning computer.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Our hardware and systems architecture is designed to maximise the capacity of the latest microprocessor technology in order to provide the fastest access to the content available.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The DiTV solution has taken over seven years of research and development by Toptrend, costing over HK$350 million, and has developed from a basic IPTV system into the feature-rich DiTV solution that it is today. The system only requires a 512kbs broadband connection, a relatively slow speed compared to the majority of connections available today, and a television to plug into. In the future, Murchison is looking to incorporate the box into their TV sets, removing the requirement for extra hardware. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>We are constantly evaluating and integrating the latest in IPTV technology so as to constantly provide the best quality system on the market. The current STB is the third generation for DiTV and represents the culmination of our experience in software and hardware development, thousands of man hours and millions of dollars. The interactive STB is the future of delivering video, data, and voice into the home or office and DiTV is the fusion of these aspects into one small affordable box. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The STB is completely customisable depending on the wants and needs of the consumer.
