Summary of the Wireless Keyboard
The wireless keyboard comes with more functions than a traditional wireless keyboard, rather than be connected by a infrared device, it sends its signal to the STB via a Radio Frequency signal, allowing the user to use the keyboard from further away and at wider angles.
The idea behind the keyboard is to facilitate the DiTV set-top box's computer functions, to allow you to use it to browse the internet, chat to friends and write emails without feeling tied to a computer. This also allows users to pass the keyboard to people in the boardroom without becoming entangled in a mass of wires, enabling people to give their input to projects more easily.
The keyboard also has integrated into it several 'one push' buttons allowing easy access to the content that the button is wired up to (movies or radio for example) making for more convenient navigation around the menu. There is also an installed mouse wheel designed to act as a mouse without having to use another input device.
