Technology Overview

The STB receives its information from the secure 'ethernet' which it is plugged into, all our content servers are integrated into this ethernet, allowing fast access to the content through the VPN viewing tunnel that is opened when you select content.

The internet is also plugged into the ethernet through a secure gateway system, allowing access to the content on the internet without any of the risks of surfing without firewalls and blockers in place.

The STB connects through a series of gateways into the content providers and the service management server, which ensures that you get what you want from your DiTV box. There are separate servers for VoD (video on demand) and live television, however both feed into the ethernet which your STB is connected to.

All our STB's connect up to the ethernet and a multicasting server allows the same content to be shown to different STB's at different times, all running at once.

Our VoIP server system is also integrated into the ethernet allowing people to operate VoIP through the STB without having to worry about connecting to a separate VoIP system and therefore loosing quality.
