Technology Overview
The core technology of the platform is the integration of PSTN and VoIP through our advanced backend servers and support systems. Allowing users to cheaply dial into and out of traditional telephone networks without generating the immense costs that are associated with traditional PSTNs.
VoIP technology has been in existence since the internet revolution changed the communication landscape the world over. Over the years, numerous VoIP formats were deployed, but the cost of implementation was prohibitive and offered no savings in telecommunication costs. Moreover, transmission quality and reliability had often been poor when compared to conventional systems.
The rapid expansion in the deployment of Broadband has spurred the telecom industry towards full convergence of voice, video and data systems. Formerly, separate and distinct systems were needed to provide voice and data transfers, now with our systems that fully integrate with the internet we can use the same systems to provide voice, video and data. The integration of the internet into phone communications without requiring a PC to be active or even in the vicinity is clearly a step forward in technological terms, and is possible through our unique platform and backend technology.
